Our Move to Manayunk

Things were getting a little cramped in our Conshohocken office. We had only been there for a quick 18 months, but somehow Rip and I had underestimated our potential growth. My Dad once said to me, “I never would have thought that we would need more space than this!” We couldn’t believe that we needed to move so soon. But I guess that’s a good thing, right?

When we began our search, there was already one easy option—move up a few floors to a much larger space in the same building. While the idea provided some nice short-term benefits (it’s big, it’s familiar, and our commutes would stay the same), it wasn’t the long-term solution we desired. We wanted a new home that would allow us to truly become a leader in our market.

So we started kicking around a couple of big ideas: buying a building and creating our own spot from the ground up; relocating to another spot in Conshy, and even considering spaces in King of Prussia. But none of our options seemed like the perfect fit until, finally, we found our answer in four, strangely-assembled letters: MNYK.

Once our minds and hearts were set on Manayunk, we began looking at available opportunities up and down Main Street. As soon as we saw our current building, we knew we had a winner! The price was great, the location even better, and the landlord blew us away. What more could we ask for?!

Over the next six months, we built out the space exactly as we envisioned, creating our dream office. We moved in a few months ago after much anticipation. It was a lot of work, but the results speak for themselves. Check out some of the images below to see how far it’s come.

Manayunk has proven to be a smart move for us. The team loves the new location, we’re saving money, and we’re having fun. As we had hoped, the new digs have become a great collaboration space. We’re particularly fond of our modern conference room and cozy café area where our teammates meet and work together constantly.
